Salvatore Romano

Researcher & tech activist working on platform accountability.

Profile

I am Head of Research and Co-Founder at AI Forensics (previously Tracking Exposed), where I investigate platform accountability and conduct algorithm audits, exploring how digital systems shape society and democracy.

My research translates into media investigations, litigation, and academic publications that are redefining how Big Tech is held accountable in Europe and globally.

My academic home is the AI and Data for Society (AID4So) research group at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) in Barcelona, where I am completing my industrial doctorate.
